Happy Birthday Stranger II

Previous post of Happy Birthday Stranger

“Every story has an end, not a beginning” said Stella. “Let’s have a coffee, Stella” said Kabir. “Kabir, have you seen Kanmani after that” Stella asked. “Another time Stella, coffee time” Kabir smiled. After having the coffee at THE COFFEE POINT, both took a walk home. While leaving her at her place, he asked, “Stella will you go on a date with me”. She was so excited to hear those words from him because she waited to hear them since they first met and she replied with excitement “What took you so long Kabir?” “Better late than never” Kabir murmured. Stella kissed Kabir and sent him off.

While walking home, Kabir started thinking about the date. Suddenly a thing, remind him of Kanmani. Tears started to wet his eyes but he controlled it as like as every time. It took his thought from Stella to Kanmani.

Stella was very curious about Kanmani because she nearly knows every page of him except Kanmani’s and his parents. She often questions about Kanmani to him but he rarely answers. The only thing she knew was, he was hiding something, something painful and something he wants to erase from his memories. So Stella searched for Kanmani through different sources like his childhood-friends, school mates, college mates, though she got nothing.

She couldn’t sleep because of the thinking of date with Kabir. But she doesn’t want wake up as restless, hence she forced herself to sleep.

Her sleep was destroyed by her door bell. She hardly managed herself to door. She opened the door. She barely sees the man standing outside with her blurred vision. She ran into the sofa on seeing Kabir. He caught her in trousers and t-shirt with sleeveless. She was embarrassed to stand in front him. He gave her a bag and asked to wear it. She couldn’t saw inside because it was packed. She took it upstairs and unpacked it. Inside she found a pale pink lace in it.  She was surprised because it was the dress which she wanted to buy for a long time.

She found note in the dress. In the note, “Don’t forget to see in”. She looked into the bag where she found another box. She opened it and there was a chain. She had it also. She looked herself into the mirror, in which she was like an angel standing in front of the mirror. She came downstairs to Kabir where Kabir was standing as speechless on seeing her.

He took her to nearby shop for a breakfast. After finishing their breakfast he took her to music concert. She worried because no one was there with them in the concert. Kabir asked her to wait so he could see what happened. After a few minutes, Kabir came up with his guitar to stage and started singing his own song. She couldn’t believe herself because she always wanted him to play a song for her. She couldn’t stop her tears while listening to his song in his voice. As soon as he finished the song she ran to stage and hugged as tight as she could. Then he took her to lunch in his own restaurant. While having food she asked about Kanmani.

“Stella! Thanks for making this more beautiful” and he added, “Ask what you want.” “Can I meet Kanmani” she asked. “I guessed it” he laughed. He asked her to wait for few more minutes. She was very excited to see Kanmani in real life.

He covered her eyes with blindfold and took her to Kanmani. After a few minutes of walk they reached. She thought herself about Kanmani’s appearance.

“We reached here Stella” he said and asked, “Are you ready?” “Hell I’m” she replied. He took her blindfold.

Stay with me until next week to figure out how Kanmani looked like.

Let's Find Her

After doing a power packed performance, Will Page was on his way to his psychologist. He was a lead singer and a guitarist on his band. Band was called CRAZY MIKE and it was named after the memories of his grandfather Mike page. Will owes millions of hearts for his performance. April was his psychologist and she was best friend to. He used to visit April twice in a week for his mental health. After finishing that session he went to home.           It was a middle of night he waked from his sleep because of his terrible memory. He never shared that with anyone before including April. He never had complete sleep, since after her loss. He did his best to forget about her but nothing helped him, hence he went to alcohol. Next day morning, he went to April and he shared that “She was Eva and we were high school sweethearts. I knew her since she was 6. We were used to play together. We got married and she was pregnant to. Everything went beautiful and nice until that day.” He couldn’t

NOW OR NEVER

Nick was on his way to Santa Maria. On his way, he decided to a break in San Pietro. He stopped in the nearest café. Where he unexpectedly saw Joe, she was his old friend. She used to work there. It was a surprise for him, because it has been 5 years since they last met. They had a little talk about them. In the middle of their talk Joe asked, “Have you ever met her after?” and he smiled. She brought him his favorite drink and she went the kitchen and start working on the dish, which he asked for. He made himself comfortable before having his drink. There was a little girl singing with her cute little guitar. It made him to feel like the old times. (“Drinks bring back all the memories, memories bring back, memories bring you” song continues to play in the background.) While, He having his drink, a girl rushed into café with her guitar. The manager already did the arrangements for her. She took her guitar from her bag and went to her chair and started playing it. Everyone on that

Aye! Aye! Captain!

(Anannya writing her diary) 4 March 2014 It was 4.30 in the morning, I checked my ticket for the last time before locking my apartment door. I couldn’t find any ride to railway station. I took my ticket from my bag and checked the departure time. It showed 5.10. I convinced myself to ask for lift. In that foggy road, I heard a bike roaring. From the roar, I founded that it was a HIMALAYAN from Royal Enfield, which was coming towards me. Without a second thought, I hand signaled. The bike stopped right next to me. “Off to?” the man inside the helmet asked. “Railway station” I murmured. He nodded. The bike was fully packed and it looked like he was going for long road trip. I hardly managed to sit because of those bags. He dropped me in the station and then he went. I was already behind the clock, so I ran in. There was no train on the platform. I thought it doesn’t arrived yet, but the speaker announced that the train Kolkata has been departed early. But I had a plan B, Tr
