Happy Birthday Stranger VII

 Previously on Happy Birthday Stranger

Kabir took two plates of egg and cheese sandwich with a glass full of apple juice and sat in the opposite to Stella. He offered a plate and a glass to her. But she never stop asking the questions. Kabir took two letters from his pocket and slide them towards her.

“She had an accident the other morning” his voice went low.

“I’m sorry” she regret.

“It’s OK! She was always playful while walking in the road. That day Rahul invited her for a coffee. While crossing the road in front of the café, her eyes was in Rahul and it was on the truck.” Kabir said in his low voice. Stella took his hands into hers.

“I rushed there as soon as I heard. Rahul was feeling worried with lots of tears in his eyes. As soon as he saw me he hugged me tight. I calmed him and went to the doctor. The doctor said, “She had few fractures and a minor clot in her head and we are can to clear it by giving medicines. If it doesn’t show any improvements then surgery is the way.” And continued, “She will be alright and if I’m right she will woke up in 3 hours.”

I felt happy on hearing the doctor. I convinced Rahul to. Rahul waited in her bed to see her open her eyes. On opening her eyes, Rahul kissed her on her cheeks and she was smiling. Rahul and Kanmani looked perfect for each other. For a moment they remind me of Kabir and Annie. A week passed, her colt became minor to major. Her health hold herself back. Even she asked me to end her life so she could feel no more pain. I and Rahul was there all time. As days goes, Rahul starting to convince himself. And he believed,

“If we loves someone, we should learn to let them go”

Doctors said that there will be chance of losing her during surgery. They asked Rahul and Kanmani, they both were agreed. She went to the surgery.”

“What happened in the surgery” Stella asked.

Kabir nodded his head. Kabir looked towards the letters and he asked her to open it.

She opened the first letter which was addressed to him. A photo was in there. She took a closer look at it.

“Kabir?” Stella questioned.

“Hmm” Kabir replied.

“Is that you in this photo” Stella asked.

“Yes, indeed” Kabir said.

“Who is this?” Stella asked again.

“Paige Omsword, my father” Kabir said.

Stella was shocked to hear that. She couldn’t understand it. “Is this Paige Omsword is Kanmani’s father” She asked.

“Yes, he is” Kabir said.

“So you are that brother, Kanmani was searching for” Stella said.

“Yes, I’m” Kabir smiled.

“But how” Stella asked.

“When I was 2, my father died and I was taken by an orphanage, where they were all called me as Kabir and I don’t know why they did but it became my name.

One day I was playing alone in the road. A gentle men came and asked who I am? After knowing that I was an orphan. He took me too his home. I grew up in his home and under his shadow. He was great man. With my memory no one called me as Will or William Omsword. I doesn’t even know my father’s whole name before this photograph came to my home.

I went to that orphanage to verify the documents. There I found my name but in some ones document. They regretted for their mistakes.” Kabir said.

“So, William” Stella said.

“Call me Kabir” Kabir corrected her. And asked her to open that another letter.

Stella took that Letter and it was addressed as “TO HER”. She opened it.

Dear Stella,

It’s Kanmani, a friend of Kabir. I’m writing this letter because, I really want to say something to you. I and Annie were really thankful to you. I never saw Kabir smiling from his heart since Annie. That in that Café, you made him happy. I was sitting behind you. You are that girl who asked him to play again and again for the whole night. I saw the way he look at you and you looked at him. I know what that mean.

I was there that night in that Café and I saw everything that happened between you and him. At that moment I thought you will be the one. And I’m sure that he will come to you. If you are reading this, you know what saying about. He is good man Stella, take care of him.

I have a promise to keep which, I made to Annie. I promise that I will look after him. But now, I want you to promise me that you will look after and be there for him whenever he needs you.

He may not be my brother but he is the best brother I ever had. Never let him to put down his guitar. Whenever you two feel lonely, just look up. We will be there to guide you. He is lucky to you have Stella. Never leave him alone. Please make him happy because he deserves that.

It’s time for the surgery, I have to go. I’m really happy that you two will be together one and having breakfast together.

Stella you have a promise to keep and I believe that you will.

Love, Kanmani

Stella looked into his eyes with an eye full of tears. He reached her cheek to wipe it.

Let's Find Her

After doing a power packed performance, Will Page was on his way to his psychologist. He was a lead singer and a guitarist on his band. Band was called CRAZY MIKE and it was named after the memories of his grandfather Mike page. Will owes millions of hearts for his performance. April was his psychologist and she was best friend to. He used to visit April twice in a week for his mental health. After finishing that session he went to home.           It was a middle of night he waked from his sleep because of his terrible memory. He never shared that with anyone before including April. He never had complete sleep, since after her loss. He did his best to forget about her but nothing helped him, hence he went to alcohol. Next day morning, he went to April and he shared that “She was Eva and we were high school sweethearts. I knew her since she was 6. We were used to play together. We got married and she was pregnant to. Everything went beautiful and nice until that day.” He couldn’t

NOW OR NEVER

Nick was on his way to Santa Maria. On his way, he decided to a break in San Pietro. He stopped in the nearest café. Where he unexpectedly saw Joe, she was his old friend. She used to work there. It was a surprise for him, because it has been 5 years since they last met. They had a little talk about them. In the middle of their talk Joe asked, “Have you ever met her after?” and he smiled. She brought him his favorite drink and she went the kitchen and start working on the dish, which he asked for. He made himself comfortable before having his drink. There was a little girl singing with her cute little guitar. It made him to feel like the old times. (“Drinks bring back all the memories, memories bring back, memories bring you” song continues to play in the background.) While, He having his drink, a girl rushed into café with her guitar. The manager already did the arrangements for her. She took her guitar from her bag and went to her chair and started playing it. Everyone on that

Aye! Aye! Captain!

(Anannya writing her diary) 4 March 2014 It was 4.30 in the morning, I checked my ticket for the last time before locking my apartment door. I couldn’t find any ride to railway station. I took my ticket from my bag and checked the departure time. It showed 5.10. I convinced myself to ask for lift. In that foggy road, I heard a bike roaring. From the roar, I founded that it was a HIMALAYAN from Royal Enfield, which was coming towards me. Without a second thought, I hand signaled. The bike stopped right next to me. “Off to?” the man inside the helmet asked. “Railway station” I murmured. He nodded. The bike was fully packed and it looked like he was going for long road trip. I hardly managed to sit because of those bags. He dropped me in the station and then he went. I was already behind the clock, so I ran in. There was no train on the platform. I thought it doesn’t arrived yet, but the speaker announced that the train Kolkata has been departed early. But I had a plan B, Tr
